The purpose of this course is to enable aviation security instructors to perform a competency-based and effective role in the delivery of their national aviation security (AVSEC) training activities, through the application of the relevant competencies and in accordance with Annex 17 – Aviation Security and the ICAO Aviation Security Manual (Doc 8973 – Restricted).

Target audience
This course is designed for personnel involved with the instruction and/or development and management of training materials related to a national civil aviation security training programme.
Prerequisites
Participants should work for the State’s appropriate authority responsible for aviation security, other regulatory authorities, airports, airlines, and/or other stakeholders that have an active role in training AVSEC personnel.
There is no minimum level of responsibility for those meeting the target audience criteria.
Participants should have written and oral command of the language of instruction.
