This online course provides an overview of the environmental challenges associated with aviation and the strategies implemented to address them. Learners explore how aviation activities contribute to air pollution, biodiversity loss, and climate vulnerability, while also examining the tools and monitoring systems that help measure and improve performance. The course emphasizes the importance of environmental stewardship and resilience as integral components of aviation’s sustainability goals. This course is included in the Aviation Sustainability online training programme and may also be taken individually. For a foundation in aviation sustainability concepts, learners are encouraged—but not required—to complete Aviation Sustainability: Introduction to Aviation Sustainability before beginning this course.
