Objective

This course will provide Flight Operations Officers/Flight Dispatchers in charge of Flight Follow-up with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to effectively provide the necessary support and assistance to the flight crew during flight operation in compliance with national regulations and ICAO Provisions contained in Annex 1 and Annex 6.

Learning objectives

  • provide inflight assistance to Flight Crew during normal flight conditions,
  • assist Flight Crew in the execution of emergency procedures,
  • support Flight Crew in managing threats.

Structure

  1. Module 0: Module 0: Introduction
  2. Module 1: Module 1: Providing flight crew with the appropriate flight assistance
  3. Module 2: Module 2: Managing Daily Operations reports and Irregularities
  4. Module 3: Module 3: Providing flight crew with necessary information during emergency situation
  5. Module 4: Module 4: Assisting flight and cabin crews in facing the treats

Target audience

  • Flight Operations Officers; Flight Dispatchers in charge of Flight Follow-up
  • Secondary Target Population: Pilots; Flight Dispatchers not in charge of Flight Follow-up; CAA Operations Inspectors; Flight Operations Managers

Prerequisites

a) a minimum age requirement (at least 21 years old);
b) completed secondary education;
c) ability to read, write, listen and speak English;
d) recognized diploma or an equivalent certificate of successfully completed Weight and Balance training;
e) recognized diploma or an equivalent certificate of an approved Flight Dispatcher course or Flight Planning for flight dispatchers.
