Air Transport Regulations Issues ATRI

• Explore issues related to the regulatory content of competition, including: the aim and purpose of competition law; context and conditions of unfair competitive behaviours; regulatory challenges related to air transportation and competition law; ICAO Guidelines regarding competition.
• Explore consumer concerns and passenger rights and the protocols that are set in place for consumer protection.
• Discuss the resolutions and recommendations on taxation of the operations of international air transport.
• Examine the limitations of each on the efficient management of airports, and discuss potential solutions, including: Ground Handling; Slots Allocation; Night Curfew; Airport Privatization.
• Outline the liberalization principles and modes of supply in the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS).
