Objective

This course presents the international regulatory framework for civil aviation security, based on ICAO Annex 17 and the Universal Security Audit Programme (USAP). Delivered in French, English and Arabic, it prepares AVSEC regulators and inspectors.

Learning objectives

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • position Annex 17 within the Chicago Convention;
  • develop and review a national security programme (NSP);
  • apply control and screening measures;
  • prepare for a USAP-CMA audit;
  • manage the response to acts of unlawful interference.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of airport operations; security clearance.
